This Privacy Policy explains how iMechano ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use the iMechano mobile applications and related services (the "Service"). iMechano connects vehicle owners with garages and car-service providers for bookings, pickups, repairs, and related services. By using the Service you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide:

• Account details — name, email address, mobile number, password, and optionally date of birth, gender, and address.
• Profile photo — if you choose to add one.
• Vehicle information — car make, model, year, registration/plate number, VIN, mileage, and photos of your vehicle that you upload when creating bookings, job cards, or condition reports.
• Booking details — requested services, descriptions, preferred times, pickup/delivery addresses, and related images or documents.
• Garage/partner details — for service providers: garage name, commercial registration details and documents, contact information, and location.

Information collected automatically:

• Location data — your device's precise location (GPS latitude/longitude), when you grant permission, used to find nearby garages and to arrange pickups and deliveries.
• Device information — device push-notification token, language/locale, and basic technical logs needed to operate and secure the Service.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account and authenticate you securely.
• To create, process, and track service bookings, pickups, job cards, invoices, and deliveries.
• To connect you with garages and service providers relevant to your request and location.
• To send you service updates and push notifications about your bookings (you can disable notifications in your device settings).
• To provide customer support and respond to your requests.
• To maintain the security, reliability, and performance of the Service and to comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your data for third-party advertising.

3. App Permissions

• Camera / Photo library — to take or upload photos of your vehicle and documents.
• Location — to find nearby garages and enable pickup/delivery.
• Notifications — to update you about your bookings and services.

Each permission is optional and requested only when needed; you can change permissions at any time in your device settings.

4. Sharing of Information

• Garages and service providers — when you make a booking, we share the details needed to perform the service (your name, contact number, vehicle details, photos, service description, and relevant addresses).
• Service infrastructure providers — we use trusted providers to operate the Service, such as Amazon Web Services (cloud hosting, United States) and push-notification delivery services (Firebase Cloud Messaging). They process data only on our behalf.
• Legal requirements — we may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

5. Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, resolve disputes, and meet legal and accounting requirements. Booking and invoice records may be retained for the period required by applicable law.

6. Account & Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by contacting us at the email address below. We will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days of a verified request, except where we are legally required to retain certain records.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections, hashed passwords, token-based authentication, and access controls on our servers and databases. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information appropriately.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. International Transfers

Your information is stored and processed on servers located in the United States. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, where data-protection laws may differ.
